songtember 2018, jams!

didnt quite get every day in, had some family hospital scare! things are going ok, and only 2 of the tracks crashed. one unfortunately was lost completely, and the other [track 4/ 19th] extra unfortunately was reverted to a really basic form =[ it had been started as a let me layer on more and more 90s samples until it breaks free from the conventions and gets super funky. which it did. i was loving it. then it crashed rendering, one of those times where you dont hit save then render but render then save. blehhhhhhhhhhh im still crying about it

oh well its not worse than silence ig so might as well include it

one of the days stuck at the hospital i decided to go out and make a field recording of the store under construction before coming home. got some great ambient sound, some sounds of dual backup safety sirens overhead, just barely offset from eachother, sounds of reverb'd machinery and clanging. i try not to make too much intentional noise, but you can hear me get some sounds of legos and a kids electronic drum toy.

for a bit i harmonize with the machinery and i think at one point someone bumps into me and i say 'excuse me'. riveting sound. ABSOLUTE IRL EXCITEMENT
